Thermotherapy
A cosy feeling of well-being - always and everywhere.
Sheepskins provide warmth in a natural way through the air cushion created in the dense wool and the gentle stimulation of countless wool fibres. This is why they are used in thermotherapy in conventional medicine, but also in holistic approaches.
In medicine, heat is said to have the following main effects: muscle relaxation, improvement of blood circulation, reduction of the viscosity of joint fluid, improvement of the elasticity of collagenous connective tissue and pain relief.
In addition, sheepskins are also suitable for the prevention of wounds and pressure sores (e.g. in bedridden patients), which can occur when prolonged pressure is exerted on a tissue area, resulting in insufficient blood circulation in these areas.
